The second Pecha Kucha Night Morrilton will feature a whole new list of exciting artists and some familiar faces (presenters to be announced). The evening will also serve as a reception/awards event for the exhibit “Dreams: Art of the Surreal, Mystical and Fantastical”. PLUS! This is Mardi Gras weekend, so we’re adding a Mardi Gras Costume contest (keep it tasteful everyone! 😉 ).
We may even throw some doubloons and beads.
Pecha Kucha is a Japanese phrase that means “chit-chat”. It is a presentation style that originated in Tokyo in 2003 in which a group of creatives present 20 images, each for 20 seconds and speak about their work, passion and influences. Morrilton is the first and currently only authorized Pecha Kucha city in Arkansas. A $1/person contribution to maintain our license is requested.
This will be an event like no other, so save the date and we’ll look forward to seeing you on February 10, 2018!
